At OUMA Atelier, every gown is created with intention, care, and time. Whether you’re choosing a made-to-order design, embarking on a custom journey, or discovering a one-of-a-kind sample, understanding the timeline helps ensure a calm, joyful bridal experience — one that allows your dress to unfold as beautifully as your story.
Made-to-Order Gowns
Our made-to-order dresses are crafted especially for you, starting from the moment your order is placed. Each gown is cut and sewn individually in our atelier, following your selected size and measurements, with the same attention to detail as our couture pieces.
Typical timeline: 4–6 months from order to completion. This timeframe allows for careful construction, quality control, and thoughtful craftsmanship — never rushed, always considered.

Custom Design
For brides seeking something entirely their own, our custom design process offers a deeply personal experience. From the first consultation to final fitting, we work closely with you to translate emotion, inspiration, and individuality into a gown that exists nowhere else.
Typical timeline: 6–8 months, depending on complexity and fabric availability. Custom designs require additional time for sketching, fabric sourcing, fittings, and refinement — a true couture journey designed to be savored.

Sample Sale & Ready-to-Wear Pieces
Our sample sale and select ready-to-wear gowns are available for immediate purchase. These pieces are perfect for brides with shorter timelines or those who fall in love with a gown just as it is.
Timeline: Immediate availability, with alterations scheduled separately if needed.

Alterations
Alterations are available for brides who have purchased OUMA gowns through our atelier or authorized stockists, including made-to-order and sample sale dresses.
Typical timeline: 2–4 weeks
Peak season (June–August): Up to 6–8 weeks
We recommend booking alteration appointments as early as possible, especially during busy wedding months.

Planning Ahead
As a general guide, we recommend beginning your dress journey 8–12 months before your wedding date, especially for made-to-order or custom designs. This allows ample time for production, fittings, and any final refinements — leaving space to enjoy the process without pressure.
At OUMA, time is part of the beauty. Each gown is not simply made, but thoughtfully brought to life — one stitch, one fitting, one moment at a time.
If you’re unsure which timeline suits you best, we’re always happy to guide you. Your journey begins with a conversation.
